Trading Blox Builder Guide

Revision 2008-05-08

For use with version 2.2

The code name for Trading Blox Builder before it was released to the general public was "Lego", named after the Danish toy Lego™ by the Lego Group.

In order to understand the philosophy of Trading Blox Builder you need to go back to the days of your youth to this game which most all of us have played with at one time or another. Lego allows kids to create and assemble their own toys by connecting together parts called Lego Blocks. Using Lego a kid can build his own toys very quickly.

Trading Blox Builder has the same goal for slightly older kids; kids like us who like to trade.

Trading Blox Builder allows you to create complete trading systems, even very sophisticated trading systems, using basic building blocks we call Blox. With these Blox you can assemble a complete trading system very quickly just like kids an build their own toys with Lego Blocks.

We didn't stop there. We didn't just want to make it easier to develop systems with Blox we also wanted to make it possible to test ideas which you can't test in most other environments. For this reason, we modeled the real world as closely as possible. The simulation we do doesn't take shortcuts.

This approach might seem harder to those who are used to some other products which have taken a simplified approach but it should be easy for anyone who understands real trading because if you already understand real-world trading you already understand the way Trading Blox works.
